PayoffPilot is live on the App Store.
I found out from a terminal, not from App Store Connect. I’ve been hitting Apple’s app lookup API on and off since submission, mostly out of impatience, and this time it came back with a real listing instead of a 404. Build 6, automatic release enabled, so there was no button for me to press — somewhere between one check and the next, it just went live.
That’s the whole announcement, really. Everything else is what it took to get here.
The Short Version
PayoffPilot is a debt payoff planner. Add your debts, and it runs the Snowball and Avalanche methods against your real numbers side by side — which to pay first, interest saved, months saved either way — and gives you an actual calendar date to aim for instead of a vague sense that you’re “working on it.”
It’s free, no account, nothing synced anywhere. Pro adds a scenario simulator (what does an extra $200 a month actually do to that date?), PDF exports, and full comparison detail — a one-time purchase, launch price $6.99, no subscription, ever.
I wrote about why it took nine months of nights and weekends to get from first commit to submission, and about what submitting four apps to Apple at once actually cost. This post is the short one: the part where Apple says yes.
What I Won’t Know
I’ve already written the long version of this — what shipping with no analytics actually costs — so I’ll just say the specific version of it that applies today: I have no way to know if this post gets one download or zero. No install tracking, no funnel, no dashboard that lights up. The privacy architecture that’s the entire point of the app means launch day looks, from where I’m sitting, exactly like every other day this week.
I’ll take that trade every time. It’s just a strange kind of quiet to launch into.
What’s Next
The roadmap is public — Now / Next / Later, no promises dressed up as commitments. Feastmark, ReelTalk, and Gunmark have since cleared too. More of these posts as the remaining ones ship.
If you’re paying off debt and want a plan you can actually see, PayoffPilot is on the App Store now.
